  I was at g.o. in 1988,it looks different.id give anything to go back to eagles piont one more time.watch out for copperheads in those woods though.down by the river was very rich in fossils.thats what i really wanna do.

  I went to Great Onyx Job Corps not too long ago and I can safely say that it has to be one of the worst Job Corps centers out there. Not only does the place look half run down, you are also forced to live, sleep, work, and eat in buildings that seem infested with black mold. Not only does the staff seemingly care less about the students health, mentally, emotionally, and physically, they also seem to take enjoyment out of watching the drama that unfolds. Several problems persist with the students as well, such as a severe abuse of power from those students elected into the stations (such as the Student Government Association or the dorm 'student command') and when those who wish to see the problems solved go to the staff, they are brushed off and told to ignore it. In my time there, I saw multiple meltdowns and what did the staff of Great Onyx do? They patted them on the back and then shipped them back home instead of trying to get to the root of the problem. Needless drama saturates Great Onyx and unless you want yourself, or your child, to go back home an emotional, physical, and mental wreck, I'd advise you to find another, better, Job Corps center to go to.
